Derek is a guide on most of the holidays we operate. Derek attended the captive breeding endangered species summer school at the Jersey Wild life Preservation Trust in 1990 before going on to project manage four British Wildlife centres.

Over the last few years Derek has travelled widely in Europe and has tour guided for the Peoples Trust for Endangered Species, Naturetrek and the Wildland Network. He now lives in Devon and specialises in captive breeding substantial numbers of endangered water voles for reintroduction projects.

Derek contributes on a regular basis to a range of natural history based news-media, television and radio programmes.
